Over the years, I’ve discovered simple, yet powerful ways to strengthen the bond with my children, even amid the whirlwind of life. I’ve been blessed with the best of all worlds—raising a teenage girl, a preteen girl, and a school-age boy. And then there’s my guardian angel, my little girl who watches over us all. Sometimes, it even feels like she’s helping them find their way out of trouble, guiding them from above.
For those who don’t know, in 2017, I lost my precious 5-week-old daughter. She was taken from me far too soon—suffocated by her father. That moment, that unspeakable pain, shattered me in ways words could never fully express. But in that unimaginable sorrow, God began a deep transformation in me. He allowed me to experience this grief, this heartache, so I could later turn that pain into a purpose: to help other mothers who feel alone in their own struggles.
"I understand what it’s like to be broken—physically, emotionally, mentally while being a single mom. So, when you find yourself overwhelmed—when you’re exhausted from feeding your children, paying the bills, trying to hold onto love or find it again, and above all, trying to put your mental health first—remember this: Surrender your heart. Surrender your mind. Let God take it all. And understand that it’s not the circumstances that hurt you; it’s the emotional weight of sadness, anger, and frustration that shifts your perspective. It’s those feelings that have the power to drag you down. But you have to pull stronger pray mediate to see that You are worthy of peace, of healing, of growth.
When it all feels too much, remember: You don’t have to carry it alone. You never have to carry it alone. Trust in the journey, even in its brokenness, because God has many angels many gifts with your name on it. Struggles are meant to guide bring you closer to the woman you’re meant to be." - Dr. Abdullah
